Without the resolve and faith to go on, in spite of the opinions of those around you and the setbacks that are a natural part of accomplishment,<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> <em>success is not possible. &nbsp;<\/em><\/span><em><span style=\"color: #800000;\">The single <strong>most important factor<\/strong> separating those who achieve great things and those who don\u2019t, is their <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">perception o<\/span>f\u2026 and <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">reaction to<\/span>\u2026 <strong>failure and negativity&#8230; You will hear a barrage of negativity\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can\u2019t succeed in this economy?\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cYou can\u2019t do that, you\u2019re too old\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cYou can\u2019t do that, you\u2019re too young!\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cYou aren\u2019t smart enough\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Or any of a thousand other reasons that YOU CAN\u2019T&nbsp; DO IT!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><em>Ignore them\u2026 it\u2019s all garbage!<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b>THE&nbsp;COUNSEL&nbsp;OF OTHERS- &nbsp;Following are a few people you may have heard of that were told they weren&#8217;t good enough&#8230;<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/zLYECIjmnQs?rel=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">DO NOT, let your thoughts, ideas and beliefs be dictated by the negativity of others who tell you what <strong><i>they<\/i> <i>think<\/i><\/strong> you can and can\u2019t do?&nbsp;<\/span> Don\u2019t let your life\u2019s choices and direction be determined by the beliefs of those who spend <i>their<\/i> lives creating excuses for their own failure and mediocrity!<\/p>\n<p>Understand, I\u2019m in no way telling you to ignore good advice.&nbsp; I\u2019m not saying ignore those with a potentially valuable insight.&nbsp; But I AM saying be discerning about what who and what you allow to influence you.&nbsp;&nbsp; But realize, if what you are considering, is really new; really revolutionary?&nbsp; There are going to be VERY few people who can possibly have an relevant insight to you objective.&nbsp; The best example of that is the Wright brothers.&nbsp; No one had ever flown before.&nbsp; So, who could possibly have given them valuable insights as to how realistic the was the possibility of flying, or to its potential benefit?&nbsp; Virtually, no one!<\/p>\n<p>So when you hear those who say it can\u2019t be done ask yourself \u201cis this someone who actually has any expertise in this area?\u201d&nbsp; If your doctor says don\u2019t sell cyanide because it will kill people.&nbsp; Listen to her, she probably knows what she\u2019s talking about.<\/p>\n<p>If your gardener tells you there\u2019s no future in the internet, you might want to consider the source.<\/p>\n<p>This may sound a bit harsh, but it\u2019s simply reality.&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em> When your friend says this or that won\u2019t work, <\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>you have to be able to say to yourself<\/em><em> something like\u2026<\/em><\/span>&nbsp;&nbsp; \u201cIt doesn&#8217;t matter what he says!&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><em> I will keep and trust my own council.&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/span> He works at Denny\u2019s, I love him, respect him, but this isn&#8217;t his area of expertise\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Has he examined the business?&nbsp; The business program?&nbsp; The market potential?&nbsp; The investment required?&nbsp; Rate of return?&nbsp; Exactly how much time has he spent trying to truly understand the specifics of what you are trying to do?&nbsp; <span style=\"color: #800000;\">If his background warrants deferring to his judgment, then, definitely, <strong><em>consider<\/em> <\/strong>his opinion. &nbsp;(<span style=\"color: #003300;\">But never forget, Oprah was told she wasn&#8217;t right for TV!<\/span>)<\/span>&nbsp; But their back ground doesn&#8217;t warrant it? &nbsp;It&#8217;s not such that you should allow your future to be swayed by their opinion? &nbsp;<em>Then politely ignore him and do what <span style=\"color: #000080;\">you know<\/span> needs to be done!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This doesn\u2019t mean you don\u2019t love him or that he\u2019s not brilliant or even the most trustworthy person in the world.&nbsp;&nbsp; It just means this is an area in which he is not capable of giving an accurate analysis. &nbsp;<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em> Never forget, the person you must listen to and trust most&#8230; <strong>is you!<\/strong><\/em><\/span> &nbsp;By example, some people consider me reasonably bright\u2026 but I\u2019m not the person to ask for an analysis of a scholarly paper written in Greek!<\/p>\n<p>YOU have to be the ultimate arbiter of your actions.&nbsp;&nbsp; <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b><i>Your future does not depend on the opinions of others\u2026 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">it depends solely on <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">your<\/span> choices.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">YOU determine your life\u2026 you determine your actions, don&#8217;t let anyone ever tell you that you can&#8217;t!<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">YOU ARE THE MASTER OF&nbsp;YOUR FUTURE!<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2eiJM5y6-9A?rel=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nIf you spend your life listening and buying into the opinions of others, you will NEVER fully experience&nbsp; true success and achievement.&nbsp; You will never realize YOUR potential or build the life you are capable of living!<\/p>\n<p>Every successful person in history has had to deal with the negativity of others.&nbsp; And every one of them overcome it the same way.&nbsp;&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em> They ignored it.<\/em><\/span>&nbsp; They made <i>their<\/i> decisions based on what THEY though was possible, what they thought was right.&nbsp; <strong><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">They ignored the naysayers.&nbsp;<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Everyone thought the Wright brothers were insane.&nbsp; If man was meant to fly, God would have given us wings!<\/li>\n<li>As to Henry Ford, the conventional thought was that, even if it <i>can<\/i> be done, a horseless carriage made no sense.&nbsp; It was difficult to get enough gas and it wouldn&#8217;t operate on most roads\u2026 I mean,<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> there were a million legitimate reasons that made it a bad idea.<\/span><\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; And quite frankly, he experience numerous failures, in turning his incredible vision into reality. &nbsp;But he kept his own counsel and persevered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Wright brothers and Ford, like all successful visionaries, believed in themselves, their ideas, their abilities\u2026 they simply ignored, conventional wisdom <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">and did the <b><i>impossible<\/i><\/b> anyway!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Whatever your idea, whatever you are trying to accomplish, that\u2019s what you\u2019ve got to do. &nbsp;Believe in yourself and Ignore them!<\/p>\n<p>Never!&nbsp; let the thoughts, ideas and beliefs of others determine who you are or what you can accomplish.<\/p>\n<p>As was said by Anthony Robbins:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u201cWhat we can or cannot do, what we consider possible or impossible, is rarely a function of our true capability. It is more likely a function of our beliefs about who we are.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If your idea is moral, helps others, has market potential and <span style=\"color: #800000;\">if it\u2019s <b><i>not<\/i><\/b> patently IMPOSSIBLE\u2026<\/span>&nbsp; then even if you do not currently have the resources to get it off the ground\u2026<em><strong> you can find them.<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp; There is a way for you to do it.&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong> But you have to believe in yourself and you have to start!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Where would the world be if the wright brothers listened to those that thought they were nuts?<br \/>\nWhere would be if Edison gave up after over 10,000 failed attempts at the light bulb?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>This is just a fact of life\u2026 if you want to rise above the crowd\u2026 sometimes you&nbsp; have to ignore the crowd.<\/strong><\/span>&nbsp; You have to be willing to listen to your own voice and when you experience the temporary setbacks that all successes endure, <em>you have to get back up and do it again!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OVERCOMING&nbsp;FAILURE AND REJECTION&nbsp;OF OTHERS In this message, I want to talk about dealing with two of the most destructive obstacles to success. &nbsp;The Fear of Failure and the negativity of others.
