{"id":12770,"date":"2014-08-08T13:55:20","date_gmt":"2014-08-08T20:55:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/allsolutionsnetwork.org\/blog\/?p=12770"},"modified":"2014-08-08T13:58:20","modified_gmt":"2014-08-08T20:58:20","slug":"are-we-heading-for-a-dictatorship-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/allsolutionsnetwork.org\/blog\/are-we-heading-for-a-dictatorship-2\/","title":{"rendered":"ARE WE HEADING FOR A DICTATORSHIP 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ARE WE ON THE WAY TO A DICTATORSHIP?<\/strong><br \/>\nI wrote this linked article months ago \u00a0&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/allsolutionsnetwork.org\/blog\/are-we-on-the-way-to-a-dictatorship\/\" target=\"_blank\">Are we on the way to a dictatorship<\/a>&#8220;?<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"GRLiHAwQHk\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/allsolutionsnetwork.org\/blog\/are-we-on-the-way-to-a-dictatorship\/\">Are We on the Way to a Dictatorship?<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"&#8220;Are We on the Way to a Dictatorship?&#8221; &#8212; \" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" src=\"https:\/\/allsolutionsnetwork.org\/blog\/are-we-on-the-way-to-a-dictatorship\/embed\/#?secret=GRLiHAwQHk\" data-secret=\"GRLiHAwQHk\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nand it created quite a stir and much debate. \u00a0Many agreed with the premise, many disagreed, vehemently&#8230;\u00a0 I was even called a racist for daring to state FACTS that are unquestionably true.<\/p>\n<p>That was then, this is now&#8230; all the things I&#8217;ve railed against are now further magnified.<br \/>\nSimply put I believe, our president is acting dangerously close to a dictator.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Executive orders.<\/strong><br \/>\nOur president is ignoring the other branches of government, because he doesn&#8217;t like the bills they pass; and yes they have passed many. \u00a0Then he accuses them of doing nothing.\u00a0 He then abuses the powers of executive orders to effectively create new law because as he said &#8220;We have to do something&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The issue isn&#8217;t do you or he like the laws they passed, the issue is &#8220;Is our president upholding his oath to enforce the laws of the US faithfully? \u00a0<em><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Or is he making them up as he goes&#8230; as do Dictators. \u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/em>For all the supporters of this administration who see no problem with what even the supreme court has on numerous occasions ruled was an unconstitutional abuse of power let me ask a question&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>A QUESTION:<\/strong> \u00a0How would you feel if the precise same executive decisions that ENACTED OR CHANGED\u00a0existing law were put in place by, let&#8217;s say, George Bush&#8230;\u00a0 except with an extreme conservative bent. i.e.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Let&#8217;s say he unilaterally:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\ndecreased taxes across the board by executive order, rather than by a signed bill?<br \/>\nChanged qualifications for welfare (As Obama did).<br \/>\n<em>diminished\u00a0<\/em>environmental protections, to make sure big business could grow, hire more employees and increase the tax base&#8230;<br \/>\ndelayed the enforcement of laws that would increase social security benefits&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>These actions would be intolerable to not just you, but to me and virtually every other conservative. \u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><em>Not because I do or do not agree with the policy<\/em><\/strong><\/span>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><em><span style=\"color: #ff0000; text-decoration: underline;\">b<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><em><span style=\"color: #ff0000; text-decoration: underline;\">ut because following the constitution and rule of law has made this country great and when we stop, we will stop being great.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/span> Without the balance of power and the mutual respect of the branches of government&#8230; <strong>WE BECOME A DICTATORSHIP.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>GREAT SPEECHES AREN&#8217;T ENOUGH!<\/strong> <\/span>\u00a0I give our president props for great speeches and political astuteness, but not for honesty or candor. With the help of a liberal media, he and liberal politicians have been propounding the Mantra that we have a DO NOTHING CONGRESS.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Far from a &#8220;do nothing congress&#8221;<\/strong><\/span>, we have a &#8220;<em>vote on nothing<\/em>&#8221; senate.\u00a0 Around 100 bills have been passed by the Congress. Then instead of debating and voting in the senate, the democratically controlled senate buries the bills. \u00a0Why? Because the conservatives would only need a few democrats to vote with them to get them to pass. <span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0The result would then be a president who either had to sign into law bills he doesn&#8217;t like, or veto everything, thus becoming a &#8220;<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>DO NOTHING PRESIDENT<\/em><\/span>&#8220;!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not the number of executive decisions that&#8217;s the problem, it&#8217;s their nature. \u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Many presidents have used them much more frequently. \u00a0<\/span>But <strong><em>usually<\/em> <\/strong>not to actually change the law or effectively enact laws on their\u00a0own&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I believe the congress for the most part is doing it&#8217;s job.\u00a0 The senate under the leadership of Harry Reid, who has the power to decide what bills from the congress will even be allowed to be voted on or even debated&#8230; <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><em>SIMPLY BURIES EVERYTHING!<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>At this writing the US supreme court had UNANIMOUSLY stated that many of Obama&#8217;s\u00a0executive orders and decisions were blatantly unconstitutional&#8230; These continuous unanimous decisions are unprecedented in our history! \u00a0Stricken orders range from deciding what constituted a &#8220;recess appointment&#8221;, to bypass the constitutional right and obligation of advise and consent, to redefining the powers of the EPA so that they will via\u00a0&#8220;rules&#8221; effectively enact the cap and trade laws that our congress refuses to enact&#8230; and everything in between. \u00a0<em><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Again, it&#8217;s not about agreeing or not with the policy he tries to enact, it&#8217;s about following the US constitution and rule of law.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>What made our government and society great was being a system of laws that were followed even by the president; the balancing of powers and the acknowledgement of each branch of their limitations.\u00a0 When the executive branch ignores congress, the Constitution&#8230; and abuses executive powers to enact laws on his own&#8230;\u00a0 That becomes dangerously close to a dictatorship.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">WE HEADING IN THAT DIRECTION.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ARE WE ON THE WAY TO A DICTATORSHIP?
