{"id":14596,"date":"2020-04-10T12:40:00","date_gmt":"2020-04-10T19:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/allsolutionsnetwork.org\/blog\/?p=14596"},"modified":"2020-05-28T00:19:47","modified_gmt":"2020-05-28T07:19:47","slug":"the-origin-of-life-who-wrote-the-manual","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/allsolutionsnetwork.org\/blog\/the-origin-of-life-who-wrote-the-manual\/","title":{"rendered":"The Origin of Life&#8230; WHO WROTE THE MANUAL?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/allsolutionsnetwork.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/whowrotemanual.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-30931\" src=\"https:\/\/allsolutionsnetwork.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/whowrotemanual-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800000; font-family: impact, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Are we simply&nbsp;an accident of dirt, chance and time?&nbsp; Did the DNA manual write itself?&nbsp; If not, who wrote it?<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">HOW WAS THE FIRST LIVING CELL CREATED?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>&nbsp; <span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Was the first living cell&nbsp;really created from of a&nbsp;random combination of chemicals floating in&nbsp;an ancient primordial soup?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Or was it the purposeful creation of an immense <strong>intelligence<\/strong>? &nbsp;Whether it was God, highly advanced aliens <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>or the natural result of dirt plus chance plus time<\/em><\/span>, <strong><em>these are really the only plausible&nbsp;options. &nbsp; <\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The fact is that scores of our most brilliant scientists; (Francis Crick, Richard Dawkins, Frederick Hoyle, to name but a few), have posited that we were ceded with life by aliens.&nbsp; Why? because of&nbsp;the <em>impossibly&nbsp;improbable odds<\/em>&nbsp;of life originating as a result of random chance. Also see &#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a title=\"Bankruptcy of Origin of Life Theory\" href=\"https:\/\/allsolutionsnetwork.org\/blog\/n3fo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bankruptcy of Origin of Life Theory<\/a><\/span>&#8221; Furthermore, try as they might even the world&#8217;s top top researchers have found no&nbsp;<em>reasonable<\/em>&nbsp;naturalistic chemical pathway for creating life and its attendant amazing molecular machines from non living matter i.e. <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><em>no way to go from dust to man.<\/em><\/strong><\/span> &nbsp;To be sure we have a&nbsp;morass&nbsp;of hypothesis replete with conjecture and wishful thinking, but little more.&nbsp; It was either some type a random undirected natural process or it wasn&#8217;t.&nbsp; If it&#8217;s the latter all that&#8217;s left is a purposeful process; and purpose infers intelligence.. The real question is &#8220;Who&#8217;s purpose&#8230; Who&#8217;s intelligence&#8221;?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">THE MAGNITUDE OF THE PROBLEM<br \/>\nEven if one <strong><em>believes<\/em> <\/strong>that the first living cell, with its accompanying, mind numbing complexity was created by a fantastically improbable chance combination of random chemicals, dirt and water&nbsp;(<em><span style=\"color: #800000; background-color: #ffffff;\">see short videos below<\/span><\/em>), <em>is it a reasonable belief?<\/em>&nbsp; Does it <em>really&nbsp;<\/em>make sense?&nbsp;&nbsp;Assuming that against all odds, there <em>was<\/em> a first naturalistically created <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>first&nbsp; living cell&#8230;&nbsp; What happened when it died<\/em><\/span><\/strong>, as all cells do\u2026 That would be the&nbsp;end of life!&nbsp; There would be nothing to even begin any type of \u201cevolutionary\u201d process from which all life forms supposedly evolved, <strong><em>unless<\/em><\/strong>, in addition to it&#8217;s own life &#8220;<em>accidentally<\/em>&#8221; coming into being&#8230; it also randomly created within itself the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><strong>DNA coding to replicate itself!&nbsp; <span style=\"color: #800000;\">Is that a reasonable assumption?<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><em>Think about it, this&nbsp;dirt plus time, plus chance equals a living cell, scenario<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;<\/span>is unlikely&nbsp;enough on it&#8217;s own\u2026 but when you add to it the fact that it <em><strong>must<\/strong> have had&nbsp;internal instructions,<\/em> <strong><em><span style=\"color: #800000;\">within itself<\/span>, to<span style=\"color: #800000;\"> perpetuate itself<\/span>&#8230;<span style=\"color: #800000;\">&nbsp;Is it reasonable to believe that the random building of such an internal&nbsp; mechanism was even <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">plausibly<\/span>, the result of continuous chance rolls of the chemical dice?&nbsp;<\/span><\/em><\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It is this very problem that prompted one committed materialist who is also one of the world&#8217;s top researchers, <strong>Eugene Koonin<\/strong>, to <strong>conclude:<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8220;<em>The problem is so stark<\/em>, that the emergence of a <em>coupled replication-translation system<\/em> is unlikely, to the extent of being, &#8220;<strong>EFFECTIVELY <\/strong><em><strong>IMPOSSIBLE&#8221;<\/strong>.&nbsp; For more details see&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">&#8220;<a title=\"Bankruptcy of Origin of Life Theory\" href=\"https:\/\/allsolutionsnetwork.org\/blog\/n3fo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bankruptcy of Origin of Life Theory<\/a>&#8220;<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Personally I think it\u2019s a bridge too far. &nbsp;However, many assert that this naturalistic scenario&nbsp;is not only&nbsp;plausible but a certainty. Regardless of the&nbsp;facts and evidence, in their mind it remains the <strong><em>only<\/em> <\/strong>possibility. &nbsp;Why? Do they know something no one else does?&nbsp; Are they in the middle of a ground breaking study?&nbsp; No.&nbsp; The reason is simple&#8230; If it was not a &#8220;natural&#8221; process, it was a &#8220;Super Natural&#8221; process and that of course has potential theistic implications. &nbsp;For a die hard naturalist, that is simply an intolerable position. &nbsp;<em>Unfortunately, science has taken a turn, in which, all hypothesis are possible&#8230;&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Anything but God.<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>DISCUSSION OF OPTIONS<\/strong><br \/>\nAs noted above, the problem is so much more than just the <em>origin<\/em> of the first living cell.&nbsp; Who, how or what created the&nbsp;internal biological machinery and the necessary DNA instructions and translation systems for dividing then building the many components of these new cells?&nbsp; Where did the programing for self-replication originate?<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000080; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>There are only 3 possibilities.<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Random Chance<\/strong><\/span>&#8211; i.e. Luck of the draw.&nbsp; That it happened by random chance is, <em>literally<\/em>, less likely than taking 10 million die, casting them into the air and having each of them land, showing the number one. &nbsp;(Virtually no one any longer believes in random chance)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Chemical Necessity<\/strong><\/span>&#8211; The idea that Chemical affinities and attractive forces make it inevitable that the chemical makeup of cells and DNA are such that they are \u201cdestined\u201d to be attracted so that they compelled&nbsp;to join together in a manner that creates life and information rich DNA.&nbsp; <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>The number one expert in this field \u201cDean Kenyon\u201d wrote the almost universally used advanced University Biology Text Book \u201cBiological Predestination\u201d, teaching this theory.<\/em><\/span>&nbsp; Due to the newest discoveries of the intricacies of the cell and the information within DNA, even he no longer believes in this theory, of which, he was the number one proponent!&nbsp; &nbsp;Most biologists assert this <em>must<\/em> be the case (to believe otherwise has theistic implications), but the fact is that there is no real evidence of this being the case; only speculation and conjecture).&nbsp; What\u2019s left?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Purposefully Designed<\/strong><\/span>&#8211; The fact is that the origin and continuation of life is dependent on the <em>information<\/em> within DNA.&nbsp;&nbsp; Where did the information originate?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">One of the biggest questions of biology; one that is constantly, vehemently debated, revolves around the fact that it is hard to see how any random accidental combination of chemicals and lifeless matter could possibly create even the simplest living cell. &nbsp;<em>The more we learn, the LESS likely it seems.<\/em> &nbsp;<span style=\"color: #000080;\">So unlikely, in fact, that some of our greatest minds, Richard Dawkins, Sir Frederick Hoyle, Francis Crick, among countless others have actually posited <em>that life originated in outer space.<\/em> &nbsp;Why?&nbsp; <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong><em>Because, they see no way it could have happened here!<\/em><\/strong> <\/span><\/span>&nbsp; All attempts to show that life originated naturally <em>have failed miserably <\/em>(PZ Meyers aside, a strident, brilliant, but closed minded naturalist).<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">see &nbsp;<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #888888;\" href=\"https:\/\/allsolutionsnetwork.org\/blog\/what-if-the-facts-are-wrong-facts-that-destroyed-faith\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">http:\/\/allsolutionsnetwork.org\/blog\/what-if-the-facts-are-wrong-facts-that-destroyed-faith<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>All Naturalistic theories on the origin of life and the original informational content of DNA and RNA have hit brick walls.<\/strong> <\/span>&nbsp;There seems to be an insurmountable chicken and egg problem on two distinct levels.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Proteins can not be created without DNA.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">DNA is constructed by DNA.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Could they have been accidentally created by a random accident at the <em>same time in lockstep unison?&#8230;<\/em>&nbsp;could they have been accidentally created together along with the biological machinery <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>to then recreate more of themselves?<\/em><\/span> &nbsp;There is absolutely ZERO empirical evidence of this ever happening&#8230; yet here we are.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">DNA can not&nbsp;exist <em>except<\/em> <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>within<\/em> <\/span>the cell.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">A living functioning cell is built via the<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em> i<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">n<\/span>structions contained in the DNA<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Without DNA you can\u2019t create a cell and without a cell, you can\u2019t have functioning DNA.&nbsp; <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>You can\u2019t have one without the other.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong><em>Neither can come first.<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;<\/span> They can exist, survive and multiply only if they arose simultaneously.&nbsp; Could they have arisen together, all internal machinery, locked together, functioning like a well-tuned engine?&nbsp; No one actually believes that happened.&nbsp; So, what did happen?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>DIRT, PLUS CHANCE, PLUS TIME EQUALS EINSTEIN?<\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">This is one of the <em>countless<\/em> problems of the naturalistic dogma that effectively asserts <strong><em>dirt, plus chance, plus time, equals Einstein<\/em><\/strong>.&nbsp; The living cell can\u2019t be created without DNA and DNA can\u2019t exist outside the cell.&nbsp; One without the other is impossibility.&nbsp; And absolutely no biologist, chemist or mathematician believes it is even <em>conceivably<\/em> the result of a random chance assembly of inanimate chemicals combining to accidentally to create&nbsp;an existing living cell<\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">.&nbsp;<\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>If it wasn\u2019t chance\u2026 what was it?<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>ANYTHING BUT GOD-<\/strong><\/span> &nbsp;In the non stop pursuit of explanations that have no possible theistic implications, theory after theory is propounded by the atheistic&nbsp;scientists. &nbsp;Following are a few:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>Self Organization<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">One theory is that the first living cell was the result of the self-organizing of physical or chemical properties.&nbsp; The idea is that just as when water is subject to low temperatures, its physical structure changes and becomes ice or if in a storm it turns into beautifully complicated snowflakes.&nbsp;&nbsp; <em>However, this attempted hypothesis is sadly lacking<\/em>. &nbsp;We have found absolutely <strong>no evidence<\/strong> of chemical affinities of a nature that could have created the type of <strong><em>information<\/em><\/strong> that is in every cell. &nbsp;<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Those who propose self-organizing theories, acknowledge they haven\u2019t even come close to answering the fundamental question.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>The Clay Hypothesis:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Along the same idea of the self organization concept is the hypothesis that certain types of clay have the ability to self-assemble into what are similar to empty cell membranes which&nbsp;can then adhere together, much like growing living cells.&nbsp; From there they \u201cevolved\u201d more and more complexity until they were the first living cell. &nbsp;This sounds plausible, but still begs the question that is central to the debate&#8230; <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>Where did the information come from?<\/em> <\/span>&nbsp;Without the &#8220;<em>manual<\/em>&#8221; i.e. the internal DNA that creates the internal machinery needed to code for the creation and self-replication of for even the simplest cell&#8230; all you can ever have is<strong> <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>clay bubbles filled with &#8220;stuff&#8221;.<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>The RNA World:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The past champion of naturalistic origin of&nbsp;live hypothesis. &nbsp;Years ago, it&nbsp;was discovered that RNA had limited self replicating properties. &nbsp;As such, if an RNA molecule could be created on it&#8217;s own from purely chance naturalistic processes, it would have&nbsp;the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>&#8220;potential&#8221;<\/em><\/span> to get around the chicken and egg problem that has forever plagued the origin of life theories.&nbsp; However, it suffers from a number of problems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">1. There is absolutely <strong><em>no evidence<\/em><\/strong> that the early earth was ever in a condition&nbsp;(masses of &#8220;chemical soup&#8221;) sufficient to contain the probabilistic resources to allow for the chance assembly of RNA as&nbsp;a viable option. &nbsp;Again, most of it&#8217;s support is the result conjecture and wishful thinking&#8230; Anything that doesn&#8217;t have a possible theistic implication.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">2. Assuming the resources <em>were<\/em> there, the \u201cRNA World\u201d hypothesis, continues to suffer from the inability identify the origin of the <strong><em>necessary informational properties&nbsp;that could create and continue life<\/em>.&nbsp; <\/strong>It still comes down to how&nbsp;did the&nbsp;<em><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Information originate<\/span>.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>WHERE DID THE INFORMATION COME FROM?<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Naysayers, try to down play the problem of DNA complexity, because they rightly assert that complexity is a rampant&nbsp;part of nature. However, the question has <em><strong>never been<\/strong><\/em>, \u201ccan incredibly unlikely complex patterns happen in nature without an intelligent intervention\u201d.&nbsp; <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong><em>They can.<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;<\/span> <em>It happens all the time.<\/em>&nbsp; The individual pattern of Snow flakes, the specific arrangement of the pebbles on the beach, the sequence of dice randomly tossed 20 times.&nbsp; Whatever the resulting pattern, arrangement or sequence of dice\u2026 the end&nbsp;result is always an incredibly unlikely outcome&#8230; but that&#8217;s irrelevant&#8230; because the resulting patterns <em>are not information. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">They&nbsp;not code or manuals, just complex chaos<\/span>.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong><em><span style=\"color: #000080;\">It&nbsp;wasn&#8217;t&nbsp;information\u2026&nbsp;<\/span><\/em><\/strong>in each of the above&nbsp;situations; they were simple random chance outcomes that conveyed no meaning, information or instructions.&nbsp;&nbsp; The issue is so much bigger than complexity. &nbsp;The burning question is not and never was, simply about complexity or the unlikely patterns created.&nbsp; It\u2019s about organized, <em>meaningful<\/em> complicated, unlikely patterns in nature <strong><em>that actually convey information i.e. actual instructions!<\/em>\u2026<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Calling it information does not do justice to the problem.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #ff0000; font-size: 12pt;\"><em><strong>DNA contains complicated computer coding<\/strong><\/em><\/span> that is more intricate than the most advanced Microsoft computer program.&nbsp; <strong><em>This fact is acknowledged by even the most ardent atheists and even Bill Gates, himself.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Realize,<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><em> DNA\/RNA is more than&nbsp;organized information<\/em><\/strong><\/span>; each cell contains the precise equivalent of<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong> INSTRUCTION MANUALS<\/strong> <\/span>for the building of proteins that are then <em>instructed<\/em> to create biological machines and cellular manufacturing plants, complete with transport systems, self assembling and dissembling internal highways, power plants, defense mechanisms, laborers&#8230; In short each cell contains feats of engineering&nbsp;that are 100&#8217;s of times more complex and sophisticated than anything built by GM.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong><a id=\"VIDEOS\"><\/a>A CELL IN ACTION- <\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Watch this short video. <em><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">&nbsp;If you haven&#8217;t kept up with the newest discoveries in biology&#8230;&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> I PROMISE, YOU WILL BE AMAZED! &nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gbycQf1TbM0?rel=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Watch this short video created by Harvard Medical School.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FzcTgrxMzZk?rel=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Incredibly, these manufacturing plants, <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><em><strong>also build new DNA instruction manuals, architectural designs for the building of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">more<\/span> plants and assembly lines&#8230;<\/strong><\/em><\/span> &nbsp; Here\u2019s the real question\u2026 Is this really the result of a Random Chance Accident?
