{"id":192,"date":"2018-11-12T01:45:01","date_gmt":"2018-11-12T09:45:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/allsolutionsnetwork.org\/blog\/?p=192"},"modified":"2019-07-12T18:49:28","modified_gmt":"2019-07-13T01:49:28","slug":"success-is-a-choice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/allsolutionsnetwork.org\/blog\/success-is-a-choice\/","title":{"rendered":"SUCCESS&#8230; It&#8217;s never too late to become your best you!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">One of the most important things you can ever learn is that just because right now you might not be where you want to be, that doesn&#8217;t mean that you can&#8217;t get there.\u00a0 The race isn&#8217;t over unless you quit and as long as you keep running, you keep progressing and eventually you&#8217;ll find that your competition has fallen by the wayside leaving you with a direct path to your goals.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em><strong>NEVER FORGET! With few exceptions, we all begin at about the same starting line.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small; color: #000000;\">Unless <strong><em>inherited<\/em><\/strong>, your boss probably wasn\u2019t born <span style=\"color: #000080;\">owning the company you work fo<\/span>r. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small; color: #000000;\">Your Real Estate broker <span style=\"color: #000080;\">wasn\u2019t born with his license or successful brokerage, <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small; color: #000000;\">Your physician with his Medical license<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">Your attorney with his Juris Doctorate, etc&#8230; (<\/span><em><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">I certainly\u00a0wasn&#8217;t!<\/span><\/em><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">). <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">In each and every case the people you now admire, respect, maybe even envy; each had attitudes and beliefs that allowed\u00a0them to make the choices, decisions and take the actions that brought them to the esteemed place they now hold.\u00a0 <\/span><em><span style=\"color: #000080;\">But it always comes down to choosing to ACT!<\/span><b style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">\u00a0 \u00a0Because they ACTED, step by step, they slowly moved towards their destination. \u00a0It&#8217;s rarely quick or easy, but with consistent positive, relentless action, SUCCESS IS INEVITABLE!\u00a0!<\/b><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small; color: #000000;\"><em><b style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">Having opportunity is not enough!\u00a0 <\/b><\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small; color: #000000;\"><em><b style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">Knowing what to do is not enough&#8230; <\/b><\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small; color: #000000;\"><em><b style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">Being Smart enough isn&#8217;t enough! (In fact a lazy <\/b><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\"><b>genius<\/b><\/span><b style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">\u00a0is worthless!).\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small; color: #000000;\"><em><b style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">ACTION IS THE KEY&#8230; <\/b><\/em><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\"><!--more--><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small; color: #000000;\">Opportunity knocking does no\u00a0good if, when it knocks&#8230; \u00a0we choose to <strong><em>NOT<\/em> <\/strong>answer the door.<br \/>\n<strong><em>Your ship coming in does NO\u00a0good if you&#8217;re in bed instead of the dock! \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">No matter how great your potential, your intellect or how great an\u00a0opportunity may be&#8230; \u00a0without ACTION <strong><em>it just doesn&#8217;t matter<\/em>&#8230;<\/strong>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><em>success or lack thereof always dependent on choices&#8230; the\u00a0choice to act or not act! \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #000080; font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: impact, sans-serif;\">SUCCESS IS NOT AN ACCIDENT!-<\/span> <\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">\u00a0The first thing that most people need to understand is that <em>success is not an accident&#8230; It is a choice!<\/em>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>So many people look around at their doctor, their realtor, their lawyer, the Restaurant Owner and think &#8220;look\u00a0at the lucky SOB, he&#8217;s got everything&#8221;. \u00a0But remember, <em><strong>with few exceptions, we begin at the same starting line. \u00a0Getting ahead, doesn&#8217;t just happen.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<strong><em>They weren&#8217;t just lucky. They were committed and prepared!<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 They chose to act!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000; font-family: impact, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">First they prepared via education and then they acted. \u00a0Preparation and Action is key.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">So often we look around and see others with more money, bigger houses, nicer cars and feel envious; jealous that we don\u2019t have what they have.\u00a0 We don\u2019t stop to realize that the main difference in our situations, in what we have accomplished and acquired, boils down to the choices we\u2019ve made.<\/span> \u00a0<span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><em>We all have 24 hours in each day. \u00a0The difference lies in how we choose to use them.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Good attitudes and beliefs are the seeds from which good choices grow.\u00a0<\/span> <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><em>And good Choices create GREAT lives<\/em><\/strong><\/span>. \u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">The good news? \u00a0<span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><em>ATTITUDES AND BELIEFS CAN BE LEARNED.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em> <\/strong><strong>Learn new attitudes, make better choices&#8230; this will always create a better life\u2026<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>WE START IN ABOUT THE SAME PLACE<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Unless we inherit money, marry money or win the lottery, we all started in substantially the same financial place. \u00a0The main difference in our results are the ACTIONS and CHOICES we make and those are substantially determined by the <em>Attitudes and Beliefs that we hold. \u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><span style=\"font-family: impact, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">We can&#8217;t change our past&#8230; but we can change our future!<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">We can&#8217;t chose our past, we can&#8217;t change the decisions that brought us here&#8230; <strong>but we <em>can<\/em> change the choices that create our future<\/strong><\/span>. Right now, <strong><em>today<\/em><\/strong>, we can start making better choices that make for a better tomorrow. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small; color: #000000;\">Of course, some people are born into abject poverty, welfare, drug ravaged families, while others, although not wealthy, are middle class families with a work ethic and attitude that was handed down to their children, thus giving them a step up on the poorer kids.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small; color: #000000;\">So yes, some of us are given a head start by being given a better attitude and work ethic\u00a0that\u00a0leads to better choices and results. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">But even this simply reinforces the statement of the importance attitudes and beliefs.<\/span>\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><em>Attitudes can be changed and improved.\u00a0 When they get better, choices and RESULTS improve.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>We Can <em>Choose<\/em> Better Choices<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Many that are born into poverty, welfare, drug abuse, etc, learn very different attitudes and beliefs than those born into the more successful families. <strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">They may have the very same intellect, actually the same \u201cpotential\u201d often <em>even more<\/em> of each, but the internalized, long held and learned beliefs affect their actions and choices.<\/span> <\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Even though they may have graduated from the same high school have\u00a0the same intellectual potentials, when it came time to make life choices, i.e. continue the education, get a job, try to start some enterprise, \u00a0Because of their beliefs regarding what their life can be, they make choices that conform to those beliefs. \u00a0Unfortunately, they are often drastically different decisions and choices than made by the doctor&#8217;s\u00a0son. \u00a0The physician\u00a0son heads to med or law school. \u00a0Often, the coal miner\u2019s son is off to the mines. \u00a0This happens even though the\u00a0intellectual potential of each are the same.\u00a0 <em>Same potential, same opportunity, <strong>but drastically different choices<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/em><\/span>\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u00a0It is always the choice that makes the difference, <em>the attitude or belief is simply\u00a0the impetus for the\u00a0choice.<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em><strong>T<\/strong><strong>he beliefs as to what life has in store for us\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">drastically affects the decisions and choices we make.<\/span> \u00a0<span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><em>Here&#8217;s what everyone needs to understand and believe&#8230; Make the right choice, take the right action and you get the right result!<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">CHANGE DIRECTION<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">No matter what your background, you or anyone else can start right now, today to begin making better choices that will IMMEDIATELY begin to change their life&#8217;s path. \u00a0The best and most personal example I can give is myself.\u00a0 I am not currently in the same league with Bill Gates.\u00a0 But I plan on rectifying that!\u00a0 And it&#8217;s my goal to bring hundreds if not thousands with me&#8230; \u00a0Through ASN, we&#8217;ve already made a good start, but I digress&#8230;<\/span> \u00a0<span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><em>My background could have been a breeding ground for excuses and failure.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; font-family: impact, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #000080;\">HOW I STARTED<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small; color: #000000;\"> I was born to a single mother.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small; color: #000000;\"> My father died in a car accident before I was born while my mother was 6 months pregnant.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Thankfully for me abortion was not a reasonable option\u00a0at that time. Otherwise, there is a substantial chance that I wouldn&#8217;t be here.\u00a0<\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em> Instead, I was placed in an orphanage.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small; color: #000000;\"> After a year, my mother took custody of me, <em>after<\/em> almost every child in the orphanage had died from meningitis.\u00a0 Actually,\u00a0I was the <strong><em>only survivor.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 I still have a picture from the local newspaper of the orphanage director holding me in his arms after the\u00a0tragedy.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">My mother was and still is a great and loving mom!\u00a0 But we were poor.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t just mean broke, <\/span><strong><em style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">but poor.<\/em><\/strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>However,\u00a0because I was so loved, at the time, I didn&#8217;t even notice. \u00a0Yes, we had a lot of beans and not much steak, but I didn&#8217;t even realize the poverty that I had experienced until one day, while in my late twenties, I was fondly recollecting\u00a0about my life\u00a0in the Ozarks of Arkansas; a place I absolutely loved&#8230;<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small; color: #000000;\">We had been living in\u00a0a big white 2 story house.\u00a0 In\u00a0 thinking about it I remembered that I wasn&#8217;t allowed to go upstairs, because mom was pretty sure I would fall right through the floor!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small; color: #000000;\"> I remember, one of my favorite Christmases. The sum total of my presents consisted of a $10 dollar Daisy BB Gun.\u00a0 I was ecstatic!\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000; font-family: impact, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Having said all of this, I know many had it worse.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #000000;\">But the point of the story is that I also know that<\/span> <\/span><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em><strong>many would have used the reality of my beginnings as an EXCUSE for a mediocre life&#8230; \u00a0 I started with Poverty, single mom, deceased father, an orphanage, etc&#8230;<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">I understand had a loving mother,\u00a0a mother, who even though poor, was supportive and inspirational. She always told me &#8220;<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><strong>I could do anything!<\/strong><\/em><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">&#8221; \u00a0I don&#8217;t know if she really believed I had all that potential&#8230; but I do know that it made me <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><em> willing to always try. \u00a0And because I believed I could&#8230; \u00a0I was willing to try. \u00a0I didn&#8217;t always succeed, but I tried! \u00a0Trying is the key. \u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Because I tried and believed, I eventually achieved!\u00a0<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000080;\">The reality of this universe is that if you try, if you act,<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> if you don&#8217;t throw in the towel<\/span>&#8230; \u00a0eventually you achieve!\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: impact, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #000080;\">YOUR LIFE, YOUR CHOICE-\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0Maybe you, or someone you know had it a thousand times worse than I ever did. \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Maybe they feel\u00a0as if their upbringing is holding them back. <strong><em>\u00a0IT&#8217;S NOT!<\/em> <\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><strong><em><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">They are holding\u00a0themselves back by using their past as an excuse for the choices they\u00a0make today!<\/span><\/em> <\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u00a0 It is within <\/span><em style=\"color: #000000; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>anyone&#8217;s<\/strong><\/em><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"> power to make better choices. \u00a0They simply must <strong><em>CHOOSE<\/em> <\/strong>to do so. \u00a0IN THE END, OUR FUTURE IS NOT CREATED BY OUR PAST&#8230; BUT IT UNQUESTIONABLY <strong><em>WILL BE CREATED<\/em><\/strong> BY EVERY CHOICE THAT WE EACH MAKE FROM THIS DA FORWARD. \u00a0<span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><em>We choose our lives by choosing our actions!<\/em> <\/strong><\/span>\u00a0At some point each and every one of us has to say, my past be damned. \u00a0My past doesn&#8217;t control me. \u00a0Every choice I make is mine. \u00a0Each choice has it;s own set of consequences and I&#8217;m responsible for where they lead. \u00a0Henceforth, I\u00a0choose to make the right ones.<\/span> <em style=\"color: #800000; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<span style=\"font-size: medium;\">An incontrovertible fact of life is that <em>Better Choices<\/em> ALWAYS produces <em>Better Results!\u00a0 Make better choices and don&#8217;t give up.\u00a0 that&#8217;s the key.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #800000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">See <a title=\"Success Principles\" href=\"http:\/\/allsolutionsnetwork.com\/cgi-bin\/d2.cgi\/1000\/SuccessPrinciples.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Universal principles of success.<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"color: #800000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE?<\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\"> <span style=\"color: #800000;\">Attitudes and Beliefs ALWAYS manifest themselves in actions and choices.<\/span>\u00a0For better or worse, we are all the sum total of the actions and choices we have made up to this point in our lives.<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em> If we are not satisfied with every aspect of our existence, we need to analyze our past choices and start making better ones.<\/em><\/span> \u00a0 <span style=\"color: #000000;\">Attitudes and beliefs that were instilled from childhood and beyond, may have laid the groundwork influencing the choices we made, however, regardless of underlying motivations, the choices <em>were<\/em> ours. \u00a0They were in our control. \u00a0The choices you make today, tomorrow and beyond are, likewise, are in your control. \u00a0<em><strong>CONTROL YOUR CHOICES&#8230; CONTROL YOUR LIFE.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">You can start making better choices for a better future, right now! \u00a0 i<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">f you, in anyway are less than satisfied with any aspect of your life, you can start changing it and improving it right now! \u00a0 Not enough money? Imperfect relationship. Want better &#8220;things&#8221;? <em>\u00a0It doesn&#8217;t matter.
