{"id":531,"date":"2018-11-07T19:55:16","date_gmt":"2018-11-08T03:55:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/allsolutionsnetwork.org\/blog\/?p=531"},"modified":"2020-05-27T23:38:47","modified_gmt":"2020-05-28T06:38:47","slug":"obamas-economy-unemployment-drops-isnt-this-great-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/allsolutionsnetwork.org\/blog\/obamas-economy-unemployment-drops-isnt-this-great-news\/","title":{"rendered":"HOW Obama AND POLITICIANS SPUN FACTS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The below article was originally written in 2012.<br \/>\nI&#8217;m updating it now in <strong><em>November of 2018<\/em><\/strong> because with the advent of <em>Trump&#8217;s economic success, combined with Obama telling the world that this economic boom is the result of his policies<\/em>, I feel it&#8217;s important to understand not so much &#8220;<em>who gets credit<\/em>&#8220;, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><em>but rather what the numbers really mean.<\/em><\/strong><\/span>&nbsp; Without, at least, a rudimentary understanding of what really happened, we have no way to understand what policies actually promote our interests&#8230;. i.e. what creates jobs and what doesn&#8217;t.&nbsp; Many won&#8217;t like the implications of what follows&#8230; but facts are always facts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000; font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000080; font-family: impact, sans-serif;\">WHAT A RECOVERY REALLY LOOKS LIKE- It&#8217;s more than unemployment numbers.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">On the economic front alone here are just some of the numbers&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">from Trump term.<br \/>\nWas it really Trump? or is Obama right in saying his policies were responsible for all of this?<\/span><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">*&nbsp; 250,000 new jobs in October of 2018, in spite of the Hurricane.&nbsp; Jobs continue to grow while unemployment continues to fall.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">*&nbsp; *Realize, 70k of those new jobs* are in mining, construction, manufacturing\u2026 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">The very same jobs OBAMA said were <em>never<\/em> coming back!<\/span>&nbsp; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/DuhXkCF-L2E?t=34\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Obama &#8220;Jobs not coming back&#8221;<\/a> <\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">*&nbsp; 3.1% actual wage growth. The best number in a DECADE!<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">*&nbsp; Highest job participation rate in history\u2026 Most jobs in HISTORY, and that\u2019s good for everyone because it means more taxpayers, more government revenue, less government payouts and soon lower deficits.&nbsp;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">* Remember, <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Obama said 2% GDP is the new normal and he <strong><em>never<\/em> <\/strong>even brought the economy to 3%..<\/span> The first such failure of any president in history!&nbsp; <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><em>How can Obama try to take credit for all of this when he actually said none of it would never happen again??<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">On the other hand&#8230; Trump has given us\u2026<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">*&nbsp;&nbsp; The last two GDP reports were 4.2 and 3.5 after the OBAMA administration said 2% was the new normal&#8230; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nsjonline.com\/article\/2018\/08\/hill-2-real-gdp-growth-is-not-the-new-normal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2% The New Normal<\/a><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">*&nbsp;&nbsp; Lowest Black unemployment rate in history<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">*&nbsp;&nbsp; Lowest Hispanic unemployment rate in history.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">And this was accomplished in less than two years of taking office&#8230;<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"font-family: impact, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">HOW DID ALL THIS HAPPEN?&nbsp; The Same Way Reagan did it&#8230;<\/span><strong><br \/>\nTrump implemented business friendly, job creating policies- it&#8217;s that simple;<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">*&nbsp; Deregulated, taking off some of the handcuffs of American industry, allowing them innovate again.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">*&nbsp; Lowered personal income taxes putting money back in our pockets that we can spend?&nbsp; <\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Realize, virtually every dime we spend is a \u201ctaxable event\u201d the gives the government more revenue\u2026&nbsp; <\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">i.e. buy ice cream it\u2019s income to the store; <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">buy a computer, it\u2019s more income to the store\u2026&nbsp; <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">When they get more business they earn more, can hire more and the government takes in more revenue with every purchase!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">*&nbsp; Yes, it also put money back in our employer\u2019s pockets too\u2026 <\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">in some cases it means we got a raise\u2026 <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">in others it means our bosses hire new employees to meet the demand\u2026 <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">sometimes it just means that our <em><strong>bosses can stay in business so we can keep our jobs!*<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">*&nbsp; He allowed overseas money to come back in the US at a lower rate, bringing in more government revenues and capital for new jobs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">&nbsp;* Lowered Corporate rates so that operating in the US, was not as expensive, so many corporations no longer felt the need to leave and in many cases corporations returned and new corporations decided to come to the US\u2026<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">THAT&#8217;S WHERE ALL THOSE JOBS ARE COMING FROM?<\/span><\/p>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #800000; font-size: 14pt;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">I want to acknowledge that all politicians lie.&nbsp; Even the ones I like.&nbsp; <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">I am not a big fan of Trump personally&#8230; he is not perfect, Far From It!&#8230;&nbsp;<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">But a lie is always a lie, and the truth is always the truth&#8230; <em>No matter who speaks it.&nbsp; <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">And RESULTS MATTER!<\/span><\/em><br \/>\nI loved to listen to Obama speak&#8230; he is an incredible and inspirational orator.&nbsp; <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>However, he has constantly touted as good, that which was not and taken credit for good that he did not cause.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">On the other hand from the stand point of the economy and the ability of our citizens to get back to work and with higher wages&#8230; I couldn&#8217;t be happier with Trump. Like all of us, he is a flawed and imperfect man. <strong><em>But like him or hate him his policies are doing what they are supposed to do.&nbsp; Create jobs and protect our citizens and our country.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000080;\">NOW TO THE PURPOSE OF THIS UPDATE:<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong>Under Obama the unemployment rate had been continually dropping and the liberal media and Obama <span style=\"background-color: #ffff00;\"><em>did nothing but talk about what a magnificent impact his policies were having.&nbsp;<\/em><\/span> Most people believed it was a good thing because they did not understand what they numbers really meant&#8230; and of course, the media had not desire to rain on Obama&#8217;s parade.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; color: #000080;\"><span style=\"font-family: impact, sans-serif;\">What happened?&nbsp; FACTS OF THE OBAMA &#8220;RECOVERY&#8221;<\/span><\/span><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; color: #000080;\"><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">The original article from Sept 2012<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><em><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The Unemployment rate went <span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">down<\/span>.&nbsp; Was that really Good News? &nbsp;Absolutely not!<\/span><\/em><\/strong>&nbsp; It dropped from 8.1%; this has to be a good thing doesn&#8217;t it? &nbsp; &nbsp;<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>No! &nbsp;It\u2019s more smoke and mirrors.&nbsp;<\/em><\/span>&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Whether someone is a democrat or republican, if truth matters, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #800000;\"><strong><em>they need to understand this the reality.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #800000;\">&nbsp; <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>TIME TO CLEAR THE SMOKE AND LOOK AT THE FACTS!&nbsp;<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Fact<\/strong><\/span>&#8211; For every person that found work, 4 lost hope and stopped looking.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Fact<\/span><\/strong>&#8211; This is now 43 straight months of 8% plus unemployment, the longest&nbsp;stretch&nbsp;ever recorded!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Fact<\/strong><\/span>&#8211; We are now experiencing the worst recovery in history. &nbsp;<\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Yes, in spite of the great and inspiring speeches, this is a fact.<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> (details to follow).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Fact<\/strong><\/span>&#8211; This &#8220;drop&#8221; in unemployment, actually marks the <em>lowest&nbsp;overall&nbsp;job participation rate in 38 years..<\/em>. <strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>and for men, the lowest in history!&#8230;<\/em><\/span><\/strong> and that includes the tragedy of the Great Depression!&#8230;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I respect the office of the president\u2026 but I can not respect anything about this campaign of misinformation. &nbsp;The lies and half-truths propagated by this campaign&nbsp;have simply gone beyond the pale. In my opinion, &nbsp;he\u2019s got to go. Every indication is that he intends to simply do more of what he has already done, but somehow expect a different result. &nbsp; <span style=\"background-color: #ffff00;\">This is a democracy; people have the right to their own opinion and their own vote.&nbsp;<\/span>&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em><strong>But people<\/strong><\/em><em><strong> need to know the truth about whom and what they are actually voting for, don&#8217;t they?<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #993366;\"><strong><em><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">To anyone who intends to vote for Obama I respect you; it\u2019s your right and I respect you for participating in the process.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span> &nbsp;But shouldn&#8217;t every vote be based on <em>who he <strong>is<\/strong>, what he <strong>does<\/strong>,&nbsp;and his <strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">actual accomplishments<\/span> <\/strong>or lack, thereof?&#8230; <\/em><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Does he deserve our votes just because he gives a <strong><em>great and inspiring speech<\/em><\/strong>?<\/span> &nbsp;The fact is, we have been sold a bill of goods. &nbsp;I just don&#8217;t think we should buy it again. &nbsp;Please, help spread the <strong><em>facts<\/em><\/strong>&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000080; font-size: medium;\"><strong>My goal is simple\u2026 help people to vote based on <em>facts<\/em> rather than speeches.&nbsp; Then let the chips fall where they may.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Please, share this with everyone, your email contacts, facebook, linkedin, everything\u2026 <em>don\u2019t let this country be fooled a great speech.<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a title=\"Obama, lies, half truths, broken policies and failed policies\" href=\"http:\/\/wp.me\/p2EGlL-8O\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">List of lies, half truths, broken promises and failed policies.<\/span><\/a><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #800000; font-size: small;\"><strong><br \/>\nShould a Lower Unemployment Equal Another Term?<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Obama is now using the drop in unemployment to make his case for another term. And he knows better. He knows the real numbers and he knows what they mean (<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>they will be explained below<\/em><\/span>). He is not a stupid man. Rather, he is a man who has shown that he will do and say anything to keep power. He is using the new misleading unemployment numbers to fool America\u2026 <em><span style=\"color: #800000;\">He fooled us once, let&#8217;s not let it happen again.&nbsp;Please, let\u2019s stop this!<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: impact, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">THE NUMBERS THAT LIE<\/span>&#8211; <\/span><strong>Lower unemployment&#8230; that&#8217;s good\u2026 right?<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> The unemployment rate dropped from 8.3 to 8.1. Normally you would think that&#8217;s a step in the right direction. &nbsp;Well, this time it just isn&#8217;t. This is one of those rare times that a drop in unemployment is not just a bad thing\u2026 <em>it\u2019s heartbreaking!<\/em>&#8230; <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><em>and our president is telling us we are on the right track?&#8230;<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: impact, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt; color: #ff0000;\">WHY IN THIS CASE LOWER UNEMPLOYMENT IS WORSE<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> We all know that if <em>50,000 people get a job, the unemployment number goes down<\/em>. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #000080; text-decoration: underline;\"><em>But what happens when 50,000 people get so discouraged that they drop out of the job market; i.e. they give up?<\/em><\/span><\/span> <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em><strong>The unemployment rate <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">still<\/span> goes down!<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\"><em>And that is exactly what just happened\u2026<\/em> only worse, much worse! &nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Here are the actual numbers\u2026<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>&nbsp;In August- <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not 50,000<\/span>, but a staggering <strong>368,000 people just stopped looking!<\/strong><\/em><\/span> Our fellow Americans simply dropped out of the workforce. <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>We now have the lowest job participation rate in a generation and for men the lowest EVER. &nbsp;<strong>It&#8217;s even worse than the Great Depression!<\/strong><\/em><\/span> &nbsp;That is a fact! &nbsp; Did Obama forget to tell you that? &nbsp;Must have slipped his mind.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><span style=\"color: #800000; text-decoration: underline;\">The lowest Job participation, ever!&#8230;&nbsp;<\/span><\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><span style=\"color: #800000; text-decoration: underline;\">And Obama is bragging that the unemployment rate went down???<\/span><\/em><\/span>&nbsp; He\u2019s using the fact that <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>368,000 Americans, your neighbors, your friends, our children; all lost hope,<\/em> <\/span>they became so discouraged that they gave up\u2026 <span style=\"font-size: small; color: #000080;\"><strong><em>he\u2019s using their loss and despair as EVIDENCE that he deserves another term???<\/em><\/strong><\/span> I think I\u2019m going to be sick.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Oh, but there is a bright spot<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> In August 96,000 jobs were created. Great! But our economy requires about 130,000 to 150,000 just to keep up with population growth. It\u2019s certainly better than nothing, but anything less and we are moving backwards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000; font-size: 14pt; background-color: #ffff00;\"><strong>UNDERSTANDING UNEMPLOYMENT- How to get 0% unemployment?<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> The unemployment number is a bit counterintuitive. It has <em>little<\/em> to do with the number of people actually working, but rather <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>focuses on those actually <strong>looking<\/strong> for a job.<\/em><\/span> If you stop looking, you are no longer considered \u201cunemployed\u201d. Consequently, a lower unemployment rate <em>does not<\/em> mean more people have jobs.<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #800000;\"><em> It simply means that fewer people are willing to look.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">An extreme, but easily understandable example of the unemployment numbers:<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Assume the entire potential work force became discouraged with their current job and future prospects for worthwhile employment. &nbsp;They&#8217;re discourage and the all quit. &nbsp;They stopped or didn\u2019t even bother looking for work\u2026 Obviously, under this scenario no one would have a job and no one would ever consider it a thriving economy&#8230; <em><span style=\"color: #800000;\">But w<\/span><span style=\"color: #800000;\">hat would the unemployment rate be? <strong>ZERO!<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If the above actually happened, I wonder, would the Obama campaign proclaim that he is the greatest president in history? <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>After all, for the first time in our history we would have achieved ZERO unemployment!<\/strong> <\/span>&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">That would be analytically identical to what he is doing now.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Obama Campaign is telling us unemployment dropped from 8.3% to 8.1% and that it <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><em>proves<\/em><\/strong> <\/span>the economy is improving under his leadership, that we\u2019re going in the right direction, we just need more time to complete the job. What a croc. &nbsp;<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>The only thing this &#8220;improvement&#8221; proves is that we have millions of people who have lost all hope.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/em><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Fact-<\/strong>&nbsp;if the people who had&nbsp;become so discouraged that they stopped even&nbsp;looking were factored into calculations, the&nbsp;unemployment rate would be <span style=\"color: #800000;\">11.1 percent!&#8230; <span style=\"color: #000000;\">and they are trying to tell us we&#8217;ve turned a corner?&nbsp; Which corner would that be, Mr. President?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-size: small; color: #000080;\"><strong>Here are the bare factual numbers:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">&nbsp;\u2022 Since January of 09- <strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">240,000 fewer people are working<\/span><\/strong> today than when he took office.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> \u2022 <strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Just last month&nbsp;368,000<\/span> gave up hope<\/strong> and stopped even looking for employment <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><em>in the last month alone<\/em><\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> \u2022 <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em><strong>3,500,000<\/strong> are no longer even counted in the unemployment numbers<\/em><\/span> (they dropped out).<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u2022 Per Capita Median Income- <strong>Down $4,000.<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u2022 46.7 Million Americans on Food Stamps.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> \u2022 <strong>Real Unemployment<\/strong>&nbsp;Rate- 11% +<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> \u2022 Unemployed and Underemployed <strong>14.7%<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> \u2022 Want a Job? You get one from a business\u2014<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>business startups are down 30% this last year.<\/em><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> \u2022<strong>&nbsp;Labor force participation-<\/strong> the percentage of people have jobs or are at least looking work has fallen to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><span style=\"color: #800000; text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>63.5%<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/span> of the population! This puts the labor force at its lowest in 38 years and<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em><strong> the lowest in history for men.<\/strong><\/em><\/span> This is worse than the great depression.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> \u2022 <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>National Debt over 16 TRILLION DOLLARS!<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> If government spending &#8220;stimulus&#8221; actually worked, shouldn&#8217;t we be in a bit better economic shape?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">But don\u2019t worry. Obama says he is going to put us back to work! &nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><em><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">He has a plan&#8230; the problem is that his plan is to do more of what has already proven not to work!<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>PUTTING AMERICA BACK TO WORK?<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Obama says he is ready to put American back to work. If he actually wanted or even <em>knew how<\/em> to do that, why didn\u2019t he start doing so 4 years ago? Does he just not know any better? Or does he just want America to continue in its decline? I don\u2019t know that answer to that question, but I do know this\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If he is allowed to continue with his past policies and stated goals of increased taxation, regulation and incomprehensible deficit spending, this country is doomed. The American people, you, me our children, are being shackled by this administration. We are fighting out of this morass, because of <em>who we are<\/em> and <em>what we have inside us<\/em>\u2026. <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><em>Not because of what this president or government does for us or gives.<\/em><\/strong><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>A SIMPLE FACT&#8230; GOVERNMENT CAN&#8217;T GIVE, WHAT IT DIDN&#8217;T <em>FIRST<\/em> TAKE!<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em><strong>We can never forget that for the government to &#8220;give&#8221; it to me, it must first take it from you!<\/strong><\/em><\/span>&nbsp;&nbsp;This is a fact- &nbsp;&#8220;<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">The government can do nothing nor give anything&#8230; that it didn&#8217;t first take from someone else<\/span>&#8220;. &nbsp;<a title=\"taxes\" href=\"http:\/\/wp.me\/p2EGlL-1k\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">See Economics 101<\/a>&nbsp;The government plays a never ending game of Robin Hood; take from the rich and give to the poor. <em>&nbsp;I&#8217;m sure many people were surprised to find out they were rich! &nbsp;<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><em>We built this country, our businesses and our lives\u2026<\/em><\/strong> and it is now being weakened by poisonous economic policies. It is only through our character and our strength that we are recovering. It is the essence of what our country is and who our people are that allows us to survive and even grow under these horrendous even &nbsp;oppressive conditions. <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>But no matter how great this nation is and our people are, there is only so much we can endure. We are fast approaching that limit. &nbsp;<strong>This must stop.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Although our president wants the credit, , I want to make something very clear; &nbsp;<span style=\"color: #800000;\">What little growth the economy is experiencing, the resilience we are demonstrating\u2026 <strong><em>is not<\/em><\/strong> because of what Obama and his administration has done<strong><em> for us<\/em><\/strong>\u2026<em><span style=\"color: #000080;\"> it is <strong>in spite<\/strong> of what they have<strong> done <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">to<\/span> us!<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">BUT HE SURE GIVES AN INSPIRING SPEECH!- <\/span><\/strong><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">and a pretty good athlete.&nbsp;<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Obama has shown himself to be all about style and little substance. Great speeches, soaring rhetoric; an inspiration to us all\u2026 and I mean that. He is truly gifted. <span style=\"color: #800000;\">But as president, at some point, you actually have to <em>do something other vacation and play hoops or golf.<\/em><\/span> You have to deal with the most pressing problems of the country. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Passing Obama Care&nbsp;wasn&#8217;t&nbsp;it<\/span>. &nbsp;<em>JOBS WAS and STILL IS!<\/em> &nbsp; &nbsp;Our health care system has issues. But how could that have been the priority? &nbsp;I could be wrong, but I think, if given a choice, most families would prefer a home, a job and <em>no insurance, over<\/em>&nbsp;no job, no money, no home but &nbsp;having a insurance&#8230; &nbsp;but I could be wrong?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>JOBS COUNSEL TO THE RESCUE<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><em>But he did do something. He created his jobs counsel.<\/em><\/strong> A great idea that again rekindled hope. It impressed the masses and showed that he cared, he was on a roll! &nbsp;The problem is, in the end, it proved to be nothing other than more style;<em><span style=\"color: #800000;\"> just more act in the show.<\/span><\/em> What did he accomplish with this big idea, this counsel? <strong><em>Nothing<\/em><\/strong>, he rarely meets with them and even more rarely, pays attention to them. They make suggestions, <em>he ignores them<\/em>. Problems and potential real life solutions don\u2019t seem to matter<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #800000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> if they don\u2019t comport with his world view\u2026<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">One recommendation was to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #800000;\"><em>lower corporate Tax rates<\/em><\/span>&#8211; <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Ours are the highest in the world<\/strong><\/span>\u2014No wonder they move factories overseas! The immediate benefits of lowing these taxes are obvious, but will Obama do it?. Of course, not. In spite of the evidence of our country&#8217;s history and the economic history of the world, he seems to hold to the belief that high taxes are the solution to everything rather than an incipient pervasive problem. &nbsp;<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #800000; text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Taxes Are Not the Solution!<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The fact is there is only so much we can tax, and there is <span style=\"color: #800000;\">absolutely no mathematical <em>possibility<\/em> that taxes can fix our problems&#8230; <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>but it sure makes for good class warfare.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span> &nbsp;<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a title=\"the reality of taxes\" href=\"http:\/\/wp.me\/p2EGlL-7v\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">See the Reality of Taxes.<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>THOSE DARN CORPORATIONS- It&#8217;s all their fault!<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">He rants about our companies going overseas, but he doesn&#8217;t mention the fact that corporate boards have a<em> legal<\/em> <em>fiduciary duty to act in the best interests of their shareholders<\/em> i.e. the investors, the retirees that depend on corporate dividends. &nbsp;Failure to do so subjects them to legal liabilities and loss of <em>their<\/em> jobs! &nbsp;<strong><em>As long as our tax policies make it more beneficial for corporations to go overseas, they have a legal obligation to do so!<\/em><\/strong> &nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Instead of blaming others for the natural result of his policies, why not just do the obvious? &nbsp;What would you do if in India you made a dollar and kept 90 cents, but if you make that same dollar in the US you keep only 70 cents? <strong>You\u2019d do what the corporations do. You\u2019d move your company to India.<\/strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\"> It only makes sense. You have an obligation to keep your income for your family and charity; not give it to an inefficient government. <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><em>The heads of corporations, the stock holders of corporations, they have families, charities, churches, organizations that depend on them too. &nbsp;And yes\u2026 corporations are people!<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/span>&nbsp; Any economist will tell you this is how it works, <em><strong>high taxes cost jobs.<\/strong><\/em> There are no exceptions. But it doesn\u2019t matter. His actions belie a big government at all costs philosophy and he lets nothing get in the way of its pursuit, not even reality.<span style=\"color: #800000;\"> <strong><em>Is it any wonder that this is the worst recovery in the history of this country? That\u2019s not hype, its fact!<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080; font-size: small;\"><strong>THE WORST RECOVERY IN HISTORY<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><em> This is the single worst <span style=\"color: #000080;\">recovery<\/span> in the history of our country.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> The numbers don\u2019t lie. I wish I could say the same for our government. &nbsp;The&nbsp;abysmal&nbsp;economic realities hit us in the face every moment of every day. &nbsp;Even if WE have jobs, even if we&#8217;re fine, many of our friends and families are not&#8230; and if they are, they wonder, for how long?&#8230; &nbsp;We see it everywhere. It\u2019s as obvious as the air we breathe. &nbsp;<\/span><strong style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>This is not the American I want to bequeath to my children!&#8230;&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #000000;\">but that is where this path of taxation, spending and bloated pervasive government leads. &nbsp;<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><a title=\"the limits of government\" href=\"https:\/\/allsolutionsnetwork.org\/blog\/is-government-the-answer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">See Is Government the Answer?<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #800000; font-size: medium;\"><strong>THE HEIGHT OF ABSURDITY<\/strong><\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">In spite of the obvious, <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small; color: #000080;\"><strong><em>the Obama campaign has actually made the absurd assertion that Obama has created more jobs than Reagan!<\/em>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/span>&nbsp;<\/span>He continually states we are moving in the right direction, that he just needs more time to complete the job. <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>This is demonstrably untrue!<\/em><\/span><em><strong> It\u2019s either denial, ignorance or another lie. Exactly how stupid they think we are?<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000; font-size: small;\"><strong>HERE ARE THE <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>FACTS<\/em><\/span>&#8211; you decide.<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> We do not play number games with this information. We actually bend over backwards in an attempt to be generous to Obama. &nbsp;We calculate&nbsp;comparative&nbsp;numbers during the recovery portion of each administration. We avoid including the time periods, in which,the respective economies were still hemorrhaging. <em><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Doing the latter would be even less flattering to Obama.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u2022<span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong> The Obama recovery<\/strong><\/span>, it\u2019s now encompassing a period of about 31 months and has resulted in the creation of <span style=\"color: #800000;\">6,317,000 net new jobs<\/span>, or approximately <strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">203,800 jobs per month<\/span><\/strong>. But that\u2019s only one side of the equation. Over that same period, the total number of people of working age who are <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>unemployed or not in the labor force <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>increased<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> by <span style=\"color: #800000; text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>205,000<\/strong><\/span><\/span> or approximately 6,600 per month.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> \u2022 <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>The Reagan recovery<\/strong><\/span>, encompassed a period of 72 months, resulted in the creation of <strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">24,833,000<\/span> <\/em><\/span>net new jobs<\/span><\/strong>, or approximately<span style=\"font-size: small;\"> <strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">344,900 jobs per month<\/span><\/strong><\/span>. The other side of the equation? &nbsp;Over that same period, the number of people who were<em><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong> unemployed<\/strong> or not in the workforce <span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #000080;\"><strong>decreased<\/strong> <\/span>by<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong> 5,234,000<\/strong><\/span>,<\/span><\/em> or approximately 72,700 per month.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> \u2022 <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>The contrast is actually even more striking<\/strong><\/span>.
